HP putting earnest steps to improve ease of doing business: CM

SHIMLA----Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the entrepreneurs and representatives of industrial houses and tycoon of industries during the 'Road Show' at Mumbai today appreciated the entrepreneurial spirit of Indians that has created wonders all over the world. He invited the participants to be a part of Himachal Pradesh's growth story.

            The Chief Minister said that Himachal Pradesh has made very significant strides in various sectors and this makes it a very ideal destination for investments. He emphasized that the state has lowest crime rate in the country; it has peace loving people, pristine environs, congenial industrial relations, surplus power, skilled manpower, etc. The state has everything that is required for sustainable investments, he added.

            Jai Ram Thakur said that state offers attractive incentives under the industrial policy to boost investment in the state in all sectors. He said that state government has come up with some more investor friendly policies in sectors like tourism, wellness centres, educational and technical institutes, logistics, aroma, Ayush, housing and real estate, IT& electronics, electric vehicles, MSME. He said that state is putting earnest effort in improving ease of doing business in the state which is visible in the improved rankings done by the Government of India. We were now ranked top among fast movers category in ease of doing reforms, he added.

            The Chief Minister said that to ensure efficiency, transparency, timeliness and accountability in allotting clearances to various industrial projects, the State Government has evolved single window mechanism in the State which  reflects strong commitment  of the government to make Himachal Pradesh industrial hub of the country.

            Jai Ram Thakur said that government is organizing its maiden Global Investors Meet in November, 2019 at Dharamshala which shows the commitment to promoting equitable growth across the state and making it globally competitive and a leader among Indian states. He appealed to the entrepreneurs to participate in the meet as they can play a vital role in success of the meet with their new ideas for development of the State.

             He also presented the priority sectors of the state like tourism, food processing, pharmaceuticals, IT, etc and requested the participants to explore investment opportunities in these sectors and the government will extend all support and facilitation.

            Industry Minister Bikram Singh also addressed the gathering of potential investors in Mumbai today. He stressed upon the congenial investment atmosphere that has been created in Himachal Pradesh. He invited the participants to be a part of the Himachal Pradesh Global Investors Meet scheduled for 7-8 November 2019 at Dharamshala.

            Additional Chief Secretaries Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Ram Subhag Singh, and Manoj Kumar, Principal Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Director Industries Hans Raj Sharma, Special Secretary Abid Hussain Sadiq, Principal Private Secretary to the Chief Minister Vinay Singh were present on the occasion among others.
