State Level Certification Committee constituted

SHIMLA--- Chief Electoral Officer H.P. Devesh Kumar today said that in view of general elections for Lok Sabha 2019 a State Level Certification Committee has been constituted to deal with applications from Political Parties and Organisations for certification of advertisements on a TV channel/cable network/radio/video/ social media websites.
He said that this committee has been constituted under Additional Chief Electoral Officer cum Additional Secretary (Election), Himachal Pradesh Shimla as Chairman, Returning Officer (DC) Shimla Parliamentary Constituency, Station Director, All India Radio Shimla, Station Director Doordarshan Kendra Shimla, Joint Director, Information and Public Relations Department, H.P. and Assistant Director (News) All India Radio, Shimla as Members.
He further said that this committee would deal with applications for certification of advertisements Television channel/cable network/ radio/video/social media websites by all the registered political parties having their headquarters in the State of Himachal Pradesh and all organisations of group of persons or associations having their registered offices in the State of Himachal Pradesh.
