SSWC&MA approves 24 proposals with investment of Rs. 1047.45

SHIMLA----The 5th meeting of the State Single Window Clearances and Monitoring Authority (SSWC&MA) was held here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

            The Authority has approved 24 proposals for setting up of new industrial units and for expansion of existing units involving a total proposed investment of approximate Rs. 1047.45 crore and employment potential of about 1905 persons which goes to show that State continues to attract investment despite of overall slowdown in the economy.

            New proposals approved includes M/s Alcobrew Distilleries India Pvt. Ltd., Kandla, District Solan for manufacturing of Malt Spirit, M/s FCI Aravali Gypsum and Minerals India Limited, Nohra Dhar, District Sirmaur for manufacturing of white cement, M/s Daiwik Global, Pandoga, Una for manufacturing of Batteries and M/s Tara Enterprises, Rakkar Colony, Una for manufacturing of pan masala, mouth freshner, M/s Biozenta Life Science Pvt. Ltd., Pandoga, Una for manufacturing of API Bulk, M/s Frontier Ally, Steels Ltd. Unit II, Kunja, Paonta Sahib, Sirmour for manufacturing of Railway components, M/s Dev Laxmi Enterprises, Village Thuth, Tehsil Chopal, Shimla for manufacturing of cedar wood essential oil, M/s Shiv Technocrates, Beli Deor, Baddi, Solan for manufacturing of fan top, fan bottom, LPG gas stove, mixi components, M/s G.C. Berverages Pvt Ltd. Unit II, Plot No. 64, Baddi, Solan for manufacturing of Juices and aerated water and M/s Satyam Poly Packs, Kripalpur, Nalagarh Solan for manufacture of poly bag have been approved.

            Among the expansion proposals, the proposals of M/s Luminous Power Tech Pvt. Ltd., Unit-I, 2 and 4, Gagret, Una for manufacturing of lead acid batteries, battery plates, M/s Luminous Power Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Baddi, Solan for manufacturing of inverter, UPs, stablizer, water purifiers, transformers, solar product and accessories, M/s Beta Drugs Limited, Baddi, Solan for manufacturing of capad, imat, temodex, mydrea and M/s Mankind Pharma Ltd. Unit I& III, Paonta Sahib Sirmour for manufacturing of tablets, capsules, eye drops, injections-ampoules and vials (SVP), infusion (SVP) vials, TVS Motor Company Limited, Bhatian, Bharatgarh Road, Nalagarh, Solan for manufacturing of engine, two wheelers, Akhil Enterprises, Johron, Trilokpur Road Kala Amb, Sirmour for manufacturing of iron and steel casting goods, Aditya Industries, Rampur, Jattan, Nahan Road Kala Amb, Sirmour for manufacturing of MS Ingots Billerts, MS Brar, Vashisht Alloys, Ogli, Sirmour for manufacturing of MS or SS INGOTS and FLATS, SS PIPE, Para Allied Chemicals, Industrial Area Phase II Gwalthai, Bilaspur for manufacturing of bleaching powder, acids and chemicals, ferric alum phenylo, grauer and Weil India Limited, Plot No. 31 and 32 DIC, Baddi, Solan for manufacturing of lubes electroplating chemicals, Industrial Paint (Formulation) and Thinner and Aqua Vitoe Laboratories, Kunjhal, Jharmajri, Baddi, Solan for setting up of industrial unit for manufacturing of injections have been approved.

            Industries Minister Bikram Singh, Chief Secretary B.K. Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretaries Manisha Nanda and Manoj Kumar, Principal Secretary Excise and Taxation Jagdish Sharma, Commissioner Labour and Employment Dr. S.S. Guleria, MD, HPSEB J.P. Kalta, Engineer in Chief IPH Vikrant Suman and Director Industries Hans Raj Sharma were also present on the occasion.
