Dalai Lama arrives in Dharamshala after a 32-day tour

Dharamshala--- Tibetan Spiritual Leader  Dalai Lama  on Friday  returned to Dharamshala after concluding a 32-day teaching tour to Sankisa, Delhi, Mumbai and Bodh Gaya.

Dalai Lama was welcomed at the Gaggal airport by President Dr Lobsang Sangay and Member of Tibetan Parliament and former Speaker, Khenpo Sonam Tenphel. Devotees and well-wishers lined the streets from Gangchen Kyishong all the way to Mcleod Ganj to offer a rousing welcome to His Holiness.

During the monthly visit spanning the Indian cities of Sankisa, Delhi, Mumbai and the holy town of Bodh Gaya in Bihar, His Holiness the Dalai Lama actively spoke on cultivating compassion as a source of happiness, role of education in tackling human afflictions and promoting holistic growth, religious harmony and inspired love and joy in the hearts of millions.

In Sankisa and Bodh Gaya, His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave teachings on Shantideva's text 'A Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life', Gyalsey Thokme Sangpo's 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva (laklen sodunma) and Dharmakirti's Pramanavartika – Commentary on Valid Cognition (tsema namdrel).

Dalai Lama also met with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who called on the Tibetan spiritual leader on the new year's eve.
