Directions issued to tackle pollution problem due to burning of fire crackers

SHIMLA-----A spokesman of Home Department told here today that as per the orders passed on 23rd October, 2018 by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India to tackle the pollution problem due to fire crackers during forthcoming Diwali appropriate directions has been issued to all concerned as enumerated in the orders to ensure strict compliance.

            He said that as per the directions of the Apex Court every state should ensure the safety of their people. He said that Apex Court has further directed that the burning/bursting of fire crackers time is limited from 8.00 PM till 10.00 PM on Diwali day. In case if some person wants to burn crackers beyond the time limit the necessary permission is to be obtained from District Magistrate. And person (s) who-so-ever violates the directions issued by Hon'ble court strict action has to be taken against such person (s) and against the officials in accordance with law.
