Narender Bragta to coordinate Jan Manch at Secretariat level: CM

SHIMLA---MLA and Chief Whip of the State BJP Narender Bragta will coordinate the Jan Manch programme at the Secretariat level for making it more effective and result oriented. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur stated this while addressing the delegation of Jubbal-Kotkhai assembly constituency here today. The delegation led by Narender Bragta had come to thank the Chief Minister for appointment of Shri Bragta as Chief Whip of State BJP with cabinet rank. 

            Jai Ram Thakur said that Jan Manch was one of the most important and people centric programme of the State Government which aims at redressing public grievances nearer to their homes. All the Ministers take part in these Jan Manch which was being held on first Sunday of every month. He said that Narender Bragta would coordinate the progress and development of Jan Manch at state level so that grievances of the people could redressed at the earliest.

            The Chief Minister said that the state government was ensuring equitable development of all areas of the State. He has so far visited 54 constituencies of the State to ensure that each and every area gets its due in matter of development. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had always been considerate towards the developmental demands and aspirations of the State. He said that not only for development, Prime Minister has also ensured all possible help to the State at the time of natural calamities such as recent untimely snowfall in Lahaul valley,  where thousands of people got stranded due to heavy and untimely snowfall. He said that the Union Government immediately provided seven helicopters to airlift the stranded people.

            Jai Ram Thakur said that the Nation need a strong and vibrant leadership as was being provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He urged the people to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister so that the country could regain its old glory. He said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister, the country was poised to emerge one of the  most developed nation of the world. 

               Chief Minister said that the State Government was committed for welfare and betterment of the apple growers of the State. He said that efforts would be made to provide all necessary infrastructures to the horticulturists to market their produce. He said that road network in the apple belt would also be strengthened.

            State BJP President Satpal Singh Satti said that it was due to efforts of the every worker of the party that the present State Government came into power with thumping majority. He said that the sensitivity and concern of the Chief Minister towards the welfare of the common man could be gauged from the fact that he has constructed waiting rooms both at Oak Over and Secretariat, so that people could meet their beloved leader without inconvenience. 

            Member of Parliament Virender Kashyap said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always shown benevolence towards the State and has always provided liberal financial assistance to the State. He said that Narender Bragta has always worked relentlessly towards safeguarding the interests of the apple growers of the State. He said that due to the sincere efforts made by the Chief Minister, the State Government has succeeded in getting projects worth Rs 9000 crore sanctioned for the State from the Centre Government.

            While thanking the Chief Minister for entrusting new responsibility on him, Narinder Bragta said that it was not only a honour for him, but also an honour for people of whole apple belt of the Shimla district. He said that the State was blessed to have an honest and committed personality as the Chief Minister of the State. He said that the present State Government was ensuring that all areas of the State get due priority in matter of development.

            He said that soon after assuming the reins of the State, the Chief Minister lowered the minimum age for getting old age pension without income limit from the existing 80 years to 70 years. He said that this has benefitted over 1.30 lakh old people of the State. He also thanked the Chief Minister for taking an initiative for holding meeting of Chief Ministers of northern states at Chandigarh to chalk out a joint strategy to curb menace of drug abuse particularly amongst the younger generation. He said that Jai Ram Thakur also took an initiative to hold Meet of Chief Ministers of Himalayan States at Shimla recently to deliberate and ponder on conservation of Himalayan ecology.

            Narender Bragta urged the Chief Minister for establishing a Trauma Centre in upper Shimla region keeping in view increasing number of road accidents. He assured the Chief Minister that he would work with dedication and commitment to come upto the expectation of the people of the area.

            He honoured the Chief Minister by presenting a sword.

            Mahasu BJP District President Ajay Shayam welcomed the Chief Minister.
