He is a civil engineering postgraduate from University of Roorkee and possesses 35 years of experience at various capacities in HPSEB Ltd. He has worked in Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Electric Project, Kol Dam Hydro Electric Project, Bhaba Hydro Electric Project, Planning & Design unit of HPSEB at Sunder Nagar. He worked in Punatsangchhu-I & II Hydro Electric Project in Bhutan for about five years. He was earlier posted as General Manager, Sawra Kuddu Hydro Electric Project in HPPCL. The Post of Director (Civil) was lying vacant due to retirement of Ajay Kumar Gupta on 31.01.2018.
