SHIMLA----  Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today announced upgradation of Government Middle School Dharotdhar to Government High School in Mandi district from next academic session

While addressing the huge gathering the Chief Minister said that he got a massive support from the people of Dharotdhar and with the blessings of the people, Seraj was at top as of today. The 'Ache Din' (good days) have come for Seraj Assembly constituency and moreover for the entire state, he said. "I had never imagined that this all will happen so early as Mandi district earlier also was bereft of the Chief Ministers candidate. From 1967 to 1982 it was Thakur Karam Singh who made sincere efforts for the coveted post but missed the mark. Similarly, in 1993 former Union Minister Pandit Sukh Ram who was a strong contender but was not able to make it, which made all of us to think, that why not Chief Minister from Mandi this time, he said, adding that he was grateful to Prime Minister whose choice to lead the state was from Mandi district at last.

He said that the people started guessing as to who would be the  MLA from Seraj, but the people and the women force, besides the youth gave full mandate  and I am indebted to them for the gift they gave. He said that people of Seraj were equal to the deities for him.

He said that National BJP President Shri Amit Shah  even hinted at a rally in Thunag for higher responsibility to me, but I never imagined that I will be elevated to the post of Chief Minister. It was the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Shri Amit Shah who after consulting the Pundits, fixed the oath taking date on 27th   Dec, 2017, and even decorated the function with their presence, for which I will ever remain obliged to them. I promise my National leaders that after five years the BJP government will repeat itself and never allow the corrupt Congress regime to regain power. My government has adopted zero tolerance towards corruption, he said. The Congress has left debt liability of Rs 46,500 crore, which was an issue of grave concern but still I assure that funds won't be any constraint in name of development, he said. The people of Seraj reside in my heart and so the people of the state and I assure all possible assistance for welfare of the people.

MLA Shri Vinod Kumar also spoke on the occasion.

Earlier, Shri Jai Ram Thakur went to pay obeisance at Dev Matloda Temple at Shikawari, in Shikawari Panchayat. He announced a sum of Rs 15 lakh for maintenance of small roads and paths of Shikawari panchayat and directed to prepare estimate for construction of Building of GSSS Shikawari and assured to fill up the vacancy of teachers. He also said that the path from Shikawari bus stop till Dev Matloda temple would be improved for those visiting.

Chief Minister was accompanied by his mother Smt. Briku Devi, wife Dr. Sadhna Thakur, brothers and other family members. Dev Matloda is family deity of the Shri Jai Ram, Thakur.
