JAWALAMUKHI---- HP Government Teachers Union organized a two day workshop on, "Quality Education for all and Empowerment of Teachers" at Jawalamukhi in Kangra district today. Addressing the teachers on this occasion Chief Minister called upon them to ensure their role in strengthening primary and middle school level education in the state as it led to strong foundation for enhanced future of students. He said contribution of teachers was supreme and the society always gave them the due regard. It is also the obligation of the teachers, to come up to the expectations, of the society.
CM said the state government was providing quality education to students at all levels with focus on vocational education and employment so that students coming out of educational institutions found suitable jobs.
He said the government had started "Mukhyamantri Shikshak Samman Yojna" wherein outstanding teachers would be given extension of one year. Salaries and allowances of different categories were suitably being increased from time to time. Chief Minister assured the teachers that their demands will be sympathetically considered by the government and they will be called at the earliest for a meeting.
