Multipurpose Sports Stadium to come up at Kutasani very soon

             

            World class shooting range at Dudhalti

            Rs. 59 crore for sports activities in the State this year

SHIMLA-----Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh while reviewing progress of sports facilities in Shimla rural constituency here today said that a multipurpose sports stadium will come up soon at Kutasani alongwith world class shooting range at Dudhalti.

            He said that State Government was committed for promotion of sports activities in the State so that energy of youth could be channelized and their useful role is ensured in the development of the State.  He said that     Rs. 59 crore were being spent for sports activities in the State during this financial year out of which 22.31 crore to be spent on multipurpose sports stadia, play fields and sports hostels.  

            Shri Virbhadra Singh said that foundation stone of these two important sports facilities would be laid very soon so that these facilities were open for budding players of the State.

            Chief Secretary Shri V.C. Pharka, Principal Advisor to Chief Minister Shri T.G. Negi, Secretary Sports and Youth Services Shri Onkar Sharma, Director Sports and Youth Services Shri Rakesh Sharma and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
