CM inaugurates sub vegetable market at Tapri

SHIMLA--Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh telephonically inaugurated sub vegetable market constructed at a cost of Rs 44.50 lakh and laid foundation stone of Kisan Bhawan and commercial complex to be constructed at a cost of Rs.1.50 crore at Tapri in District Kinnaur from Shimla today.

            Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Shri Jagat Singh Negi was on the telephone line in Kinnaur district when the Chief Minister announced inauguration and laid foundation stone of these projects.

            Chairman, Agriculture Produce Marketing Board Dr. Subhash Manglet and Advisor, Marketing Board Shri Devender Shayam were also present with the Chief Minister on this occasion.

            The State Government had provided the land for setting up of the sub vegetable market besides making a provision of Rs. 22.58 crore through Local Area Developmental Authority (LADA) for construction of the vegetable market. The ground floor of this building would have facility of 11 shops, the office of Market Society and Kisan Bhawan etc.

            This market would benefit the people of the far flung area of district Kinnaur and annual business of around 50 thousand metric tonne vegetables and 60 thousand metric tonne fruits would be carried out through this market.
