SHIMLA-----The High Court of H.P. issued notice to the HPRIDC and directed the same to monitor the progress of work on the spot at Theog-Hatkoti road and to file compliance report every after two week in the matter. The court also directed the committee constituted by it to submit report every after two weeks. The court further issued direction to the Contractor to do the needful and make all possible efforts to take the contract to its logical end, in terms of the contract. Any deviation shall be viewed seriously.

A Division Bench comprising the Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan passed these orders on Public interest Litigation on the delay in construction of Theog-Hatkoti road. During the hearing of this matter the Devinder Chauhan, Jaita advocate for the intervener brought to the notice of the Court that immediate work is required at some points. The court directed contractor to do the needful, as early as possible at those points. Louis Berger Group, Construction Supervision Consultant also brought it to the notice of the court that funding from the World Bank has been extended up to 30th June, 2017.
