SHIMLA-----The High Court of Himachal Pradesh had issued notices to the Secretary Health to the government of Himachal Pradesh, Registrar IGMC Shimla and Registrar HPU, Shimla in a matter pertaining to selection process followed by IGMC, Shimla for the selection of candidates for the course of MD Cardiology. The court has deferred counseling for the course of MD Cardiology which is scheduled to be held on saturday.
A Division Bench comprising of Mr. Justice Dharam Chand Chaudhary and Justice Chander Bhusan Barowalia has passed these orders in a civil writ petition filed by Dr. Sachin Sondhi, Senior Resident, Medicine at IGMC, Shimla. The petitioner has alleged in the petition that he had appeared in the entrance test for the course of MD Cardiology, which was conducted by the Himachal Pradesh University. It is contended in the petition three questions of the entrance test were deleted by giving the reason of wrong answer key. It has been contended by the petitioner that as per the syllabus the petitioner has given the right answers. Because of deletion of the three questions the petitioner has secured second position in the merit. The decision of deleting three questions is wrong. The petitioner has prayed that the directions may kindly be issued to the respondents to award the marks foe question nos. 43'53 and 75 and revaluate the marks afresh. Except this the petitioner has prayed to quash and set aside the decision of deletion of aforesaid questions. The matter will be taken up by the court on 18th July 2016 for further hearing.
