CM directs to complete the new OPD complex of IGMC by 10th Aug, 2017

            Directed to work round the clock in three shifts

SHIMLA--Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh today conducted sudden inspection of the under-construction Outdoor Patient Department (OPD) block of Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) and Hospital near the Auckland House School Tunnel.

            After spending some time on the spot with the senior officers of the PWD and senior doctors, the Chief Minister directed that the work should be speeded up and must finish by 10th August 2017. He directed to work 24X7,  in three shifts and said that all the medical equipment should be purchased and installed, as the new OPD block would be made fully operational, without fail, on the date as directed by him. He also directed to install signage mentioning the date of completion and inauguration of the prestigious Rs.56 crore project, which would go a long way in easing congestion in the main IGMC complex. He also took feed-back regarding the other projects which were in limbo for quite some time and said that the matter pertaining to land for nursing college should also be initiated.
