SHIMLA----34 post offices in rural areas of Mandi Parliamentary constituency will be covered under Rural Information and Communication Technology (RICT) project by Department of Posts said Sh Ram Swaroop Sharma Member Parliament Here today . He said that tribal areas like bharmour, lahual spiti, pangi and kinnaur will be covered under the project
He said that under the Rural Information and Communication Technology (RICT) project. The Post Offices in the rural areas will provide all the services such as Any Time Anywhere Banking, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking and ATM facility etc which are the privilege of the citizens in the urban areas and provided by any modern Bank and all the accounts standing in the Branch Post Offices in the rural areas will also be brought on the CBS plate form.
Member Parliament Sh Ram Swaroop Sharma told that the various payments of the Government Social Security schemes such as Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme (DBT), Social Security Pensions, and MGNREGS payments shall be made at the doorsteps of the people in the rural areas through these post offices The facility of Addhaar Linked Biometrik System will also be available through these Handheld Devices. He added that in future the flagship scheme of Govt. of India such as Pradhaan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhaan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna and Pradhaan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna etc. will also be available to the people in rural areas in mandi parliamentary constituency through these Handheld Devices and added that Department Of Post will be in a position to promote greater financial inclusion of the rural areas Sh Ram Swaroop Sharma MP said .
He further added that 34 additional post offices in rural areas of Mandi parliamentary constituency will be upgraded under the project to link these facilities in these post offices in near future
