SLSWC approves 28 proposals with an investment of Rs. 968 crore

SHIMLA--- Approval was accorded to nine new proposals for setting up of industrial projects with proposed investment of Rs. 451.96 crores and employment potential to 582 persons in the State.

            This was disclosed in the 78th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance & Monitoring Authority (SLSWC & MA) held here today under the Chairmanship of  Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh.

            Approval was also given for expansion/ diversification/revised proposals of the existing 19 industrial units with proposed investment of Rs. 420.96 crores generating employment to 2218 persons.

            To sum up, 28 proposals, including new ones and the expansions of existing units with proposed investment of an approximately Rs. 968.07 crores were approved in the meeting which were expected to provide employment opportunities to 2800 persons.

            The new  proposals approved in the meeting are  M/s Hindustan Salts Ltd., who has proposed to invest Rs. 230.00 Crores with employment potential to 119 persons for setting up of Salt, Solution Mining, M/s Shivani Convenience Foods Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai who has proposed to invest Rs. 68.77 Crores with employment potential to 216 persons, M/s  Auro Dyeing, (a unit of Vardhman Textiles Limited),who has proposed to invest Rs. 76.15 crores with employment potential to 110 persons, M/s Indian Oil-Adani Gas Pvt. Ltd., who has proposed to invest Rs. 26.56 Cores with employment potential to 9 persons for   laying Natural Gas Steel pipeline.

            Among the expansion/diversification/revised proposals are M/s M/s Super Hoze Industries Pvt. Ltd., who has proposed to invest Rs. 21.45 Crores with employment potential to 132 persons, M/s Pritika Autocast Limited, who has proposed to invest Rs. 40.59 Crores with employment potential to 290 persons for manufacture of Automotive & Tractor Parts, M/s Innova Captab Pvt. Ltd. (Formerly known as Harun Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.), who has proposed to invest Rs. 47.73 Croes with employment potential to 135 persons for manufacture of Pharmaceutical Formulations, M/s Torrent Pharmaceutical Ltd., who has proposed to invest Rs. 52.34 Crores  with employment potential to 88 persons for manufacture of Tablets and Capsules., M/s Dr. Reddys Laboratories Ltd. Unit-II, proposed to invest Rs. 57.93 Croes  with employment potential to 149 persons for manufacture of Pharmaceutical Formulations, M/s Premier Alcobev Private Limited,    who has proposed to invest Rs. 35.00  crores  with employment potential to 50 persons.

            The Chief Minster advised to open new CA stores and directed the authorities to work in this direction and identify those areas where there was need of such stores.

            Industries Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri, Chief Secretary Shri P. Mitra, Additional Chief Secretary Shri V.C. Pharka, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries, Shri R.D. Dhiman, Advisor Industries, Shri Rajinder Chauhan  were also present in the meeting amongst other senior officers of the Industries department.
