Shimla----The High Court of H.P. directed State government to file fresh status report in terms of the order passed by the court time to time regarding the encroachment on both side of Kalaka-Shimla. The Court also directed Secretary, Ministry Road Transport & Highway to the Government of India and Regional Officer, Ministry Road Transport & Highway, Chandigarh to file status report along with reply on or before 27.02.2016
A Division Bench comprising the Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan passed these orders on a petition taken up suo moto by the Court as Public Interest Litigation on a news item published in news papers Amar Ujala in year 2014 regarding illegal encroachment on the road side.
