CM dedicates various developmental projects in Baijnath constituency

Baijnath--- Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh today said providing best education, health, drinking water, irrigation and roads facilities were top priorities of the government and it was being ensured that every section of the society was benefited with the welfare schemes and programmes up to the farthest corner.
He was addressing a public meeting at Baijnath in Kangra district after inaugurating and laying foundation stones of various developmental works in the Baijnath constituency.
He said the State Government was ensuring equitable development of all areas without any discrimination with special emphasis on providing best health, education and road facility to the people. He said State had witnessed speedy and uniform development during last three years benefiting every section of the society with various welfare oriented programmes during last three years.
The Chief Minister inaugurated 30 meter span RCC girder bridge over Pun Khad from Averi to Ghorpith constructed at a cost of Rs. 132 lakhs benefitting population of 2500 of Alihilal, Averi, Ghorpith and Rampur villages of Baijnath assembly segment.
He also inaugurated Baijnath-Avairi-Ghorpeeth road and performed bhoomi poojan of Kukaina-Nouri-Labol-Tarehal-Behru road to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 318.08 lakhs. This link road will facilitate the people of Kukaina, Nouri, Trehal, Labol and Behru villages.
He announced to open primary health center at Deol and assured that specialist doctors would be deployed in Baijnath hospital. He directed the concerned authorities to chalk out a policy for renovating campus of famous Shiv temple, Baijnath besides other works. He said Baijnath was a famous tourist destination and it would further be developed to attract more tourists. He directed to identify spots for the construction of parking lots and street lights in Nagar Panchayat wards for which state government would provide funds liberally.
The Chief Minister also paid obeisance at famous Shiv temple, Baijnath.
He said during last three years, various development projects including construction of roads and bridges had been executed in Baijnath constituency The construction of bridges over Binwa Khad at Gowal on Chobin Sansai road, Sukad Khad on Jalag Arth Patt Tatrola Nahalana road, Awa Khad at Chaluhi, 30 meter long bridge over Pun Khad on Averi Ghorpith road and bridge over Pun Khad on Padhiarkhar Sarsowa road had been completed. The work on Luni Khad bridge, Kothi Kohar Nallah bridge, Taras bridge and Moul Khad bridge were under progress for which he directed the concerned authorities to complete these in a time bound manner.
Shri Virbhadra Singh said Rakkar Naun, Sahel to Bir Khas and Paprola Kothi roads were being upgraded and many more road projects would soon be dedicated to the people of the area.
Local MLA Shri Kishori Lal said the state had witnessed rapid progress in all spheres during the last three years particularly in Baijnath area. He said DSP office and Soil Conservation Offices had been revived and Nagar Panchayat status had been given to Baijnath-Paprola besides creating and filling up various post of doctors in Baijnath hospital during this period.
MLA Shri Yadwinder Goma, Chairman, Kangra Co-operative Bank Shri Jagdish Sipahiya, President, Block Congress Committee Raj Kumar Kaura, and prominent people of the area were present on the occasion.
