Glowing tributes paid to Smt. Indira Gandhi

SHIMLA--- Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh led the People of the State in paying glowing tributes to former Prime Minister, late Smt. Indira Gandhi, on her 31st death Anniversary which was observed as 'Rashtriya Ekta Divas'. He paid floral tributes at the statue of the former Prime Minister at the historic Ridge here today.
The Chief Minister was followed by Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Mayor Municipal Shimla Shri Sanjay Chauhan, Chairman, Himachal Agricultural Produce Marketing Board Dr. Subhash Manglet, Vice Chairman, Himachal Forest Development Corporation Shri Kewal Singh Pathania, Councillors of Municipal Corporation Shimla, former MLA Shri Adarsh Sood, former Mayor Smt. Jenny Prem, DGP Shri Sanjay Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Shri Dinesh Malhotra, Director, Information and Public Relations Dr. M.P. Sood, ADC Shimla Shri Yunus, Superintendent of Police Shri D.W. Negi, senior officers of different departments, people from all walks of life and students from various educational institutions also joined in paying homage to the former Prime Minister.
Shri Virbhadra Singh also visited the exhibition installed on the occasion, where the pictures of old memories of former Prime Minister during her visits in Himachal Pradesh were displayed.
Chief Minister also administered pledge of national integration to all the people assembled on the occasion.
