Governor stresses on awareness of organic farming

SHIMLA---  A delegation of Himachal Organic Farmer's Association headed by Chairman Shri Gopal Mehta called on the Governor Acharya Devvrat at Rajbhawan here today.
            Governor said that it was essential to make people aware about the benefits of organic farming. He said that organic farming has many ecological benefits and added that organic food is rich in nutrients. He said that it contributes to healthy living. He said that more farmers should be encouraged to practice the same besides educating consumers to buy organic food.
            Shri Gopal Mehta apprised the Governor about the activities of the Association.
            Shri Arun Kuthiala Secretary and Shri K D Verma Treasurer were also present.
