NEW DELHI---------At a glittering Silver Jublie Year Inaugural Function held at Ashoka Hotel at New Delhi on 1st September, well known communication consultant of the Country Mr. Shekar Swamy released new Silver Jublie Logo of Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) to mark the beginning of CAIT's silver jublie functions to be held round the year all over the Country. Delhi BJP President Mr. Satish Upadhyay also attend the function. CAIT National Chairman Mr. Mahendra Shah, National President Mr. B.C.Bhartia and Secretary General Mr. Praveen Khandelwal beside Trade leaders from 15 different states also attended the function.

The CAIT has planned to organise various functions all over the Country during the one year and special focus will be given to Delhi, being the national capital. The Delhi Unit of CAIT is holding a Traders Conference on forthcoming 10th September at Constitution Club, New Delhi to finalize its strategy on Delhi Rent Act and conversion and parking charges being taken by the MCD. A National Traders Rally is also planned on 18 December at New Delhi which will be attended by trade leaders from all over the Country. The CAIT will also hold a National Trade Fair at New Delhi at a later date to showcase the progress and development of Indian Trade and Commerce during post Independence period. The CAIT shall also organise a Felicitation Function to acknowledge the contributions of Trade Leaders who have served the trade since 25 years or more time.

During the year, the Delhi Unit will raise various important issues including amendments in Master Plan to protect trade from sealing, special trade status to markets of walled city, security of Trade Markets and availability of conveniences in Delhi Markets, It will also work for redressal of problems arising out of present VAT taxation system and shall also work for simplification and rationalisation of tax structure.
