High Court of Himachal Pradesh today adjourned the case relating to washing away of the 24 B.Tech. students

SHIMLA-----The High Court of Himachal Pradesh today adjourned the case relating to washing away of the 24 B.Tech. students of VNR Vigyan Jyoti Institute of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad in Beas River near Thalout in Mandi District to August 11.

            A Division Bench comprising the Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan passed these orders on a petition taken up suo moto by the Court taking cognizance of the news reports on the tragic incident.

            The College today informed the Court that it has deposited their share of interim compensation amount as ordered by the Court and has also released the amount of insurance and tuition fee to the legal representatives of the deceased students.

            The Court asked the amicus curiae to examine the entire issue and make submissions in one week's time and also directed the Govt. to file latest status report before the next date.

            The Court posted the matter for August 11.
