Delhi High Court summons Arun Jaitely and Anurag Thakur

SHIMLA---In a huge set back to the malicious campaign advocated by BJP leaders against Vakamulla Chandrashekhar, CEO of Tarini Group of Companies, the Delhi High Court has issued summons to Opposition Leader in Rajya Sabha Shri Arun Jaitely, Anurag Thakur and his brother Shri Arun Dhumal. The petition has been filed on January 17 by Vakamulla Chandrashekhar seeking compensation of Rs. 3 crores for the damage caused to the company.
In the petition filed in Delhi High Court, Shri Vakamulla Chandrashekhar has accused Shri Arun Jaitely, Shri Anurag Thakur and Shri Arun Dhumal for allegedly tarnishing reputation and good will of his business. Due to their malicious campaign against his company, the share values has come down and he has suffered a great deal as some of its foreign clients have sought clarifications regarding this slanderous allegations.
Last year, in October, Shri Anurag Thakur, President of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association and his brother Shri.Arun Dhumal levelled baseless allegations against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh and his family members. They had accused Shri Virbhadra Singh and his family members for securing interest free loan from the Tarini Group of Companies.
In the defamation suit filed by Shri Vakamulla Chandrashekhar, he has mentioned that Arun Jaitely along with Dhumal brothers have illegally accessed to the bank accounts and illegally procured the income tax returns of the M/s Tarini Group of Companies, which itself is the violation of the fundamental rights. He has also mentioned that by disclosing confidential documents to the public at large constitute offences which are punishable in accordance with law.
In the summons noticed issued to Sri. Arun Jaitely, Anurag Thakur and his brother Shri Arun Dhumal, High court has given three weeks to reply.
