Anil Parbha Sharma, has urged the state government to abolish house tax

JAWALAMUKHI---The Newly -elected President of Jawalamukhi Nagar Panchyat Mrs. Anil Parbha Sharma, has urged the state government to abolish house tax in this Temple Town. She strongly advocated to give a special status to this age-old town and demanded the state government to chalk out a comprehensive plan for the development of the town. She said that the state government should bear the financial burden of the Nagar panchyat by allocating funds in annual Budget.
While talking to media persons at his residence here today Anil Parbha, lamented that this historical town has been systematically and intentionally relegated to the background. She stressed that state government should also set-up a high level committee at Statel-Level to ascertain the facts in order to bring the town to lime light from his historical angle, morover. She was of the opinion that state government too should not dither on its part to shoulder its responsibility to bring this town on historical map.
Inspite of imposing the taxes on the peoples, government should come forward to bear the fiancial liabilities of the Nagar Panchyat. This temple town attracting thousands of tourists daily who comes here to pay obeiances to famous shrine of Jawalamukhi were a main concern for us. mostly they went back disappointed because the failur of authority to provide basic civic aminities, she added. The main contradiction of the implementation of the plans & proposals is that they are merely perpared for local peoples only. Mrs.Parbha Said her first priority would be to launch cleanliness drives in the town with the help of local level development committees in each ward. She said privatisation of sanitory services was the only alternative to the deteriorating civic conditons in the town, adding that Nagar Panchayat would work on the posibilities of deploying contractors for sanitation. She also stressed the need to creat civic sense amongest the masses.
