JAWALAMUKHI_---Horticulture and Technical Minister, Narender Bragata said that the government has launched a marketing intervention scheme ( MIS) for the purches of citrus fruit and under the scheme 20 citrus collection centres have been established in Kangra district. Himachal government is also going to cover up Nurpur, Fatehpur, Indora and Nagrota Surian blocks of the district under the crop insurance scheme.
Bragata while addressing a press Confrence at Electricity Rest House JawalaMukhi on Monday , also thanked the State Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal for granting approval in the recent cabinet meeting for setting up a Technical University in district Hamirpur. He also conveyed his gratitude to all his cabinet colleagues for supporting this issue in the cabinet meeting. He said that this University would prove to be a milestone in providing technical education in the State.
He said that this University would facilitate the students of the State in getting best of the technical education within the State itself besides providing them best infrastructural facility.
Technical Education Minister said that the cabinet agreed in principle to grant loan for starting the Technical University in Hamirpur and also sanctioned 37 posts of different categories to make the university functional. State Government would soon bring legislation for setting up of this Technical University so that the university could start functioning immediately, he added.
He said that State Government was committed to provide quality technical education and making Himachal an education hub and the government was taking effective steps in this direction. This University would give impetus to the efforts of the government in this direction.
