Bk Modi

Dr BKM continues to play an active role in helping to promote global peace and harmony and uplift every segment of Indian society. He led the world's largest delegation of spiritual leaders to The Millennium World Peace Summit held at the UN General Assembly. He is also President of the Maha Bodhi Society of India and Chairman of the India chapter of the Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation - a global initiative to spread literacy among the tribal population of India. He has been single-mindedly working towards refurbishing the self-esteem of Indians in the global society and persuading non-resident Indians to share responsibility in helping India take its rightful place in the comity of nations.

A staunch believer in the principle of universal brotherhood, Dr BKM has been advocating greater cooperation between different cultures, faiths and traditions. In his resolve to end the endemic problem of violence in today's society, he promoted many international conferences in different countries on Shanti (Peace), Satya (Truth), Karuna (Compassion) and Ahimsa (Non-Violence). He initiated and led Peace Pilgrimages to 44 cities spread across five continents.
