JAWALMUKHI, March 27-- Rakesh Sharma, Sub Divisonal magistrate of Dehra has issued notifications banning carrying of arms and ammunition in Jawalamukhi area where Navratra Mela held.Notification will remain effective from April 5 to April 16 in teritorry of Jawalamukhi Nagar panchayat area of Dehra sub Divison of kangra district.Chaitra Navratra mela is being held at famous shrine of Jawalamukhi. notification will be effective for ongoing Navratra Mela from April 6 to april 15.
JAWALAMUKHI March 27--The blame game within the Congress after its defeat to the BJP in the recently concluded assembly elections has not come to an end with Jawalamukhi Block party unit blaming former chief minister Virbhadra Singh for the defeat of its official candidate from this constituency.''During his several public meetings in this constituency in the elections, he never sought peoples' support for the party's official candidate Ruma Kaundal,'' party's block president Inder Mohan Walia said here today. He said in one of the public meetings held here, Mr Singh, who was to address a public meeting here at noon, arrived only at 1900 hrs at Geeta Bhawan and this went against the party candidate, besides the presence of a rebel candidate in Sanjay Rattan.The party's block unit meeting was today held at Aggarwal Dharmshala to ascertain the reasons for the defeat of the party's candidate from this constituency in the assembly elections.
Walia said the rebel candidate remained a dedicated party worker during the last five years and then decided to contest the elections as an independent.''This was one of the main reasons for the party's defeat in this constituency,'' he added.The party unit also passed a resolution for including Ms Kaundal as delegate in the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) and prevent the re entry of rebels into the party.They also criticised the attitude of Sushil Rattan vice chairman of State Freedom fighters welfare Board.Former M LA Mela ram Saver and other senior members of the party was also present at the meeting.
