DHARMASALA: In a pre-poll bid to encash a "people-friendly" Union Budget, the state Congress organised a rally today at Dari near Dharmshala."The rally was aimed at making people aware of the people-friendly budget and the farm loan waivers announced in it", state Congress president Viplov Thakur told. Senior party leaders like R K Dhawan, Virbhadra Singh and Vidya Stokes addressed the rally held at the headquarters of the politically significant Kangra district, she said. Thakur presided over a meeting of the party officials today in connection with the Sunday rally. The meeting was attended by Congress MP from Kangra Chander Kumar. As part of its efforts to strengthen the organisation before the coming Lok Sabha polls, the Congress has decided to organise rallies in all the districts of the state.
